Fandomtastic is a podcast and brand established by two book-obsessed babes: Stephanie Brown & Ava Tusek. You can learn more about Team Fandomtastic below!

The heart and soul of Fandomtastic is comprised of all things BOOKISH! We also love chatting about fandom fun, pop culture, and our pets Ernie (Steph’s Havanese floof) and Dior (Ava’s baby boa constrictor…yes, a snake).

When Steph + Ava originally established what we now know to be Fandomtastic, it was known as “Maastastic”. As to not cause brand confusion for author Sarah J. Maas, “Fandomtastic” was born.

Steph (she/her/hers) is an Afro-latinx dog mom based in the Washington, D.C.-area. She’s currently the wearer of many hats, including Event Coordinator for two annual book events (ApollyCon and Readers on the River), as well as Adult Box Curator for The Bookish Box! When she’s not reading, she can be found binge-watching the Marvel movies + shows in timeline order, charging her crystals, cheering on the Washington Captials hockey team, and/or planning her next trip across the country (and globe)! She’s a Capricorn whose superpower is doing the most whilst sleeping the least. Who needs sleep when there are books to be read?

Ava (she/her/hers) lives in Colorado, but her Czech dad impressed upon her a love of travel, Prague, the outdoors, and food. After recently acquiring a degree in English & Marketing, she divides her time between working at a bookstore (shop indie, when you can!), acting as a story consultant for film, copywriting for a self-help startup, and working on her novels. When she’s not devouring upcoming releases, she’s probably rereading her favorites (from Sarah J Maas, Stephen Graham Jones, Jenn Lyons, NK Jemisin, Raven Kennedy, Danielle Jensen, and more!). If not that, she’s cooking up new recipes, hiking with her dog, drinking an ungodly amount of coffee, or vision-boarding her next trip to the ocean.
